Bill Roberts – Piano

About Bill Roberts – Piano

Solo piano playing is Bill’s stock in trade – he can create a relaxed lounge vibe with instrumental classics – or get fingers snapping and toes tapping with a more lively ‘piano bar’ show.

Bill has also played for many wedding ceremonies, from a traditional wedding march to something more unusual at the client’s request.

Bill’s lounge-style piano playing creates the backdrop to a perfect evening of food, drink and conversation. This can be purely instrumental or interspersed with a crooner’s classic or perhaps a gentle foot-tapping swing number. Bill has held residencies at some prestigious venues such as The Midland Hotel in Morecambe and Storrs Hall in The Lake District, providing the quintessential ‘cocktail bar’ vibe.

The piano bar show is lively and interactive, taking requests from the audience and getting the party going. This can include guest musicians and singers. Bill would typically sing and play an eclectic mix of anything from Beatles to Boogie Woogie. The audience can join in and get involved, or just sit back and enjoy the music as Bill entertains at the piano. This format is also perfect for house parties.

Bill’s playing lends a cool sophistication or lively piano bar buzz to many venues and functions across the North West and beyond. Whether you want to be quietly charmed or thoroughly entertained, Bill will make it happen for you.

From £240.00

Bill Roberts – Piano Testimonials

“Just to let you know that I have paid [your fee] into your bank account: worth every penny. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful atmosphere at my very happy birthday party. Truly delighted.”

Anna Lorbiecki Re: Birthday party at Midland Hotel, January 2013 – solo piano and vocals

“Just wanted to say a big thank you again for helping to make my birthday celebration so special ‐ it was exactly what I wanted and you two work so well together. Thank you so much for the songs you learned specifically and, of course, for 'New York, New York' ‐ who knew we could kick our legs so high in such long dresses!
I had a fabulous evening ‐ perhaps being 50 isn't so bad after all! “

Sarah N RE: Party at Rotunda Bar, January 2013 – duo with female singer

“I have heard Bill play at many gigs, some jazz, some boogie and others leaning towards a more popular style of music. Not only does he play, but he also sings ‐ his music can be strident and also gently melodic. Just recently I engaged him to perform for an audience of mature jazz lovers at a jazz appreciation group. The feedback I have had is that they appreciated his performance very much. I'm sure that he would be well received at any event.”

David Herrod U3A Jazz Appreciation Group, December 2012 – duo with tenor sax, instrumental set
